Hurricane Matthew struck the island of Grand Bahama on 5th October as a category 4 hurricane with devastating effect on the western half of the island. No deaths occurred. Lots of roofs, trees & poles are down from the 144 mph, gusting upward to 170 mph winds, plus whole houses destroyed in certain areas. We survived well & the eastern part of the island. We are ready for business - are offering a new "Hurricane Relief Tour" for 2 1/2 hours through some of the devastating path of Hurricane Matthew, seeing it's affect, the recovery, and experiencing the attitude of the people.
For those not interested in that, our regular kayaking, snorkeling, swim the bluehole tour to East Grand Bahama is still available. Our bird watching tours are also available; a great time for birding with the number of fallen trees and striped leaves, great to see the birds.
